Quilt Barn Ride

Today, Peggy and I rode 20 very hilly miles near Barnesville, Ohio. It's one of our favorite loops, and there are several barns on the route with quilt blocks painted on them. We call it the "Tri-County Quilt Barn Loop". The route traverses Noble, Monroe, and Belmont Counties.

Here are a few pictures. The bridge Peggy and I are standing on was built in 1927. The quilt barn I'm standing in front of is the first of four that we see on our route. Pictures of the other three barns are included too.

Chippewa Lakes Ghost Amusement Park

Rosie, Sharon and I did a bike ride from Buckeye Woods.  We stopped here at the old Chippewa Lake Amusement Park remnants.  Here is Rosie and Sharon in front of the Old Wooden Roller Coaster.  I thought I hear kids screaming!!

Ride on the Trail

Sharon and I met in Oberlin yesterday to ride on the trail to Kipton.  We saw old friends from SilverWheels along the way.  I was fun.  Need more hill training though.

Our Ride From Buckeye Woods

Rosie and I rode out of Buckeye Woods in Medina County.  It was a beautiful hot day in April!  There were several long, easy climbs ( I call them ramps).   And some great downhills runs:).  The ride was followed by a swim and whirlpool at the Medina Recreation Center.  Then on to Eatn Park for a healthy late lunch.  It was a great day!!!

We got lots of snow yesterday, and I wish I had some snowshoes. Here are pictures of a hike I took:

A Challenge for 2010

I am issuing a challenge to anybody who might read this:

See how soon you can get in 100 days of exercise! Any day that you engage in activities for 30 minutes or more counts. Start counting from the first of the month, if you can remember what days you exercised. The earliest date you can finish will be April 10!

Exercise is good for everybody! And it's never too late to start trying to do better! I've been a lump for a while, and I need to get back on track. Is anybody here ready to join me?
